Nomad Bridge has introduced a ten% bounty for hackers who return at the very least 90 % of the entire funds of their custody. In response, Whitehat hackers have returned $22 million as of August 5.
The bridge was drained of $190.7 million on August 1 after a hacker stole 100 wBTC value $2.3 million. The exploit was copied by a whole bunch of addresses which noticed them obtain a share of the hack.

On August 5, blockchain safety agency PeckShield confirmed that $22 million has been recovered. The information confirmed that 11.6% of the stolen funds have been recovered, whereas 50% of the quantity has not moved because the hack.
Stablecoins make a big portion of the returned property, with $6 million USDC, $2.88 million DAI, $2.81 million QCT, $2.1 million wBTC, and $2 million USDT.

What’s subsequent for Nomad?
Nomad said it’s actively working with legislation enforcement brokers and blockchain corporations to see that each one customers’ funds are returned. Co-founder and CEO of Nomad Pranay Mohan commented:
“An important factor in crypto is neighborhood, and our primary purpose is restoring bridged consumer funds.”
